TERMS OF SERVICE

OVERVIEW
These terms govern purchases from May-London and use of our online store. “We”, “us” and “our” mean May-London. “You” means the person using the store or placing an order.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights. Where applicable law gives you greater protection than these terms, that protection applies.

1. ACCESS AND ACCOUNTS
You must have the legal capacity to place an order. Information you provide for an order must be accurate and sufficiently complete for us to process payment and deliver your purchase.

Keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity you authorise, but are not automatically responsible for unauthorised activity that is not your fault. Accounts must not be sold or transferred without our agreement.

2. PRODUCTS
We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Screen settings may cause minor differences in how colours appear. This does not affect your right to receive products that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for any purpose required by applicable law.

We may change products, descriptions and availability for future purchases. Changes do not alter an order already accepted without your agreement.

3. ORDERS
Placing an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt only. We accept your order when we send an express acceptance or dispatch confirmation. Payment collection alone does not constitute acceptance.

Before acceptance, we may decline an order for a legitimate reason, such as unavailable stock, an unresolved pricing error, inability to deliver or reasonable concerns about fraud. We will inform you and refund any payment for an order we decline without undue delay.

After acceptance, we will not substitute products, increase the agreed price or materially change your order without your agreement. Cancellation by us must have a lawful basis. Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.

4. PRICES AND PAYMENT
The total payable, including applicable taxes and any delivery charges collected by us, will be shown before you place your order. If additional import charges may be payable by you, this must be explained before purchase, together with the amount or calculation basis where reasonably possible.

Price changes apply to future orders. Optional extras require your express agreement. You must be authorised to use your chosen payment method.

If a material pricing error is discovered before acceptance, we will explain the correction and allow you to choose whether to proceed. We will not charge an increased price without your agreement.

5. DELIVERY AND RISK
Available delivery arrangements and estimated delivery times will be provided before purchase. We will meet any expressly agreed delivery deadline. If no time is agreed, we will deliver within the period required by applicable law.

For UK consumer orders, unless another delivery period is agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made. Your legal remedies for late or failed delivery remain available.

Products remain at our risk until you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, physically receive them. A different rule may apply where you independently appoint a carrier we did not offer, but only as permitted by law.

We will inform you of significant delays. Delays involving carriers, customs or events outside our control do not automatically remove our obligations or your cancellation and refund rights.

6. CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS
Where statutory distance-selling cancellation rights apply, you may cancel by giving us a clear statement of your decision within the applicable cancellation period. Dispatch or acceptance of an order does not remove this right.

For UK consumers purchasing eligible goods online, the cancellation period normally ends 14 days after the day you, or your nominated recipient, receive the goods. For goods in one order delivered separately, it normally runs from receipt of the last item. You must send goods back within 14 days after notifying us of cancellation.

For a valid statutory cancellation, we will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery option. Additional costs for an upgraded delivery option need not be refunded. Refunds will use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

For UK consumer cancellations involving returned goods, we may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence that you sent them back, whichever occurs first, unless we have offered to collect them. We will refund within the statutory deadline, normally 14 days after that point. Where no goods have been supplied, the normal deadline is 14 days after cancellation notice.

You are responsible for direct return costs for a change-of-mind cancellation only if we informed you of this before purchase. We bear necessary return costs where legally required, including for faulty or misdescribed goods.

We may make a legally permitted deduction for reduced value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. Opening packaging or trying an item does not automatically remove cancellation rights. We do not impose a restocking fee for a statutory cancellation.

Statutory exceptions may apply, for example to clearly personalised goods or sealed goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. An exception applies only where its legal conditions are met and the required information was provided before purchase.

7. FAULTY OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS
Your rights concerning faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods are separate from change-of-mind cancellation rights. Available remedies may include rejection, repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund, as required by applicable law. A commercial return deadline does not shorten these rights.

8. WEBSITE USE AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The store's content is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may browse it and use it for personal shopping, including saving information about your purchases and exercising rights permitted by law.

You must not misuse the store through fraud, impersonation, infringement, unlawful collection of personal data, malicious software or interference with security or operation. Automated access must not bypass access restrictions, compromise personal data or disrupt the store.

9. REVIEWS AND FEEDBACK
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content for public display, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and reproduce it as reasonably necessary to operate the store and present customer feedback. Separate advertising use requires appropriate permission where necessary.

Your content must be lawful and must not infringe another person's rights. Disclose any incentive received for a review. We may remove unlawful, fraudulent or abusive content, but will not suppress genuine reviews solely because they are negative or edit reviews in a misleading way.

10. PERSONAL INFORMATION
We process personal information only where permitted by applicable data protection law and provide the required information about that processing separately. Acceptance of these terms does not itself constitute consent to optional marketing or other processing that requires consent.

11. AVAILABILITY AND ACCOUNT RESTRICTIONS
We take reasonable care in operating the store but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may temporarily restrict access for maintenance or security, or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to address material misuse. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Account suspension or closure does not extinguish your rights concerning existing orders, refunds or complaints.

12. LIABILITY
We remain responsible for losses for which we are liable under applicable law. We do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

For consumer purchases, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to exercise legally required care and skill. We do not exclude mandatory rights concerning product quality, description, fitness, delivery or refunds.

The store is intended for personal consumer purchases. Subject to applicable law, we do not accept liability for business losses arising from business use that we have not agreed to support.

13. DISPUTES AND APPLICABLE LAW
Applicable law determines the law governing your contract and the courts with jurisdiction. These terms do not impose an exclusive foreign court or deprive you of mandatory protections or access to courts available to you as a consumer.

14. GENERAL TERMS
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where legally possible. No provision will be rewritten or interpreted to remove mandatory consumer protection. A delay in exercising a right does not automatically waive it.

We may transfer our contractual obligations only where doing so does not reduce your rights or guarantees. We will provide notice where required by law.

These terms do not exclude binding pre-contract information, representations on which you are legally entitled to rely, or rights arising under applicable law.

15. CHANGES
We may update these terms for future use and future orders. The version applicable when your order was placed continues to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or you expressly agree otherwise. Material changes affecting an ongoing service will be communicated where required by law.
